By chance I discovered a very interesting site for me. There was a request that someone not from an ad network could access an Exchange server. The service was RPC over HTTPS enabled for the server and the mailbox. Now had to be tested, where access is not possible.

In my research I came across the page for the "Microsoft Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer".
The following tests are currently available:

  • Exchange ActiveSync
  • Exchange ActiveSync Autodiscover
  • Synchronization, Notification, Availability, and Automatic Replies (OOF)
  • Service Account Access (Developers)
  • Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP)
  • Discover Outlook
  • Inbound SMTP Email
  • Outbound SMTP email

This tool can thus help in some cases difficult to determine contact, as in my case.
